Hooah!

This November will mark one year since Wes returned from Iraq. Since then we've been asking ourselves a myriad of questions and have spent much time in prayer trying to figure out what the best path for our family would be. We've gone from options of continuing on his same career path, him getting an MBA as a full time student, getting a job as a civilian, etc. Sounds simple now that I'm typing it out, but believe me, it hasn't been.

Well, we made a decision today and a commitment to remain with the Army for 3 more years. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal, but once that commitment is met, he'll only be 5 years shy of being eligible for retirement from the Army. So really, this 3 year commitment (which doesn't start immediately), is like a 10 year commitment to finish out his career. Big step! Feels very absolute. Feels like the most absolute decision we've been able to make in quite a while. I know he feels like a burden has been lifted and we both feel like we now know what direction and goals we're aiming for... Hooah!

Hi we're in such a similar position... we didn't know if Nidge should leave work and start full tme on the business or if we were moving etc but it seems like he's staying for the next 2/3 years at least which in some ways is really settling. I'm glad for you and Wes it's worked out well!
